Owen Hargreaves signs for Man City

After the medical yesteday, it has been confirmed that Owen Hargreaves has signed for Manchester City. Will this be just a transfer from bench to bench. I don’t believe he will get very much game time, he would have been better going to a lower premiership team and then at least we would be getting regular premiership games and maybe then an outside chance of another England cap.

With the biggest defeat for Arsenal since Arsene Wenger has been the manager, the social networks were buzzing with tweets about Rooneys hatrick and the great perfomances from the Man Utd team, and the jokers out there were quick with the “8 2 be an Arsenal Fan” jokes.

There is one good thing that has come out of the game for Arsenal fans is that the club has announced it will compensate travelling fans with an away ticket to another Premiership game.

How did Alex Ferguson keep a straight face in his post match interview!

Half time and it looks like De Gae could have lost Man Utd the game. The first goal by Lescott could have partly be down to Vidic, but the second goal, somebody in Sunday league could have saved it.

The homesick Manchester City stars Carlos Tevez and Mario Balotelli made it clear on there opinions of Manchester.

United legend Cantona says he cannot understand the attitude of spoiled players who claim they cannot settle in the city.

“The most important thing for me was to play for the best club in the world with some of the best players in the world.

“That’s the important thing when you’re a professional player.

“The greatest time you can have is on the pitch. I loved Manchester when I was here, and I loved the people. I had a great time.”

“Every time I come back to Manchester I go to Old Trafford. It’s very special for me and it will be even more so this time.”

“United is the best team. I don’t know exactly how City work. Maybe they do work on the academy, but today they want to spend to build a team, to buy players.

“They’ve been successful because they won the FA Cup.

“But if they only do that they will not be as strong as United because United are working for the long term by bringing through young talent.

“When I was there I played with two generations of players.

“Sir Alex introduced a lot of young players, and Paul Scholes was one of them.

“Now, I come back 15 years later and the manager is still here.

“You can replace players, especially a club like United with a great manager like Sir Alex Ferguson.

“I left, Ronaldo left, Hughes left, and United are still one of the best clubs in the world.”

Asked whether his new role with the Cosmos meant he could be a long-term replacement for Fergie, Cantona dismissed that idea in typical style.

He replied: “Maybe I’ll die before Alex Ferguson! I’m sure he’ll be on the bench for ever because it’s his life.”

Usain Bolt wants to switch from athletics to football, he has expressed interest in Man Utd.

What a great signing that would be, all he would need to do is practice the Ronaldo step over and a finish like Hernandez.

He said: ‘I really want to try soccer after I retire because I’ve watched football over the years and I think I could be a good contender.
‘I’m really looking forward to it and yes, I definitely think I’m good enough to play for Manchester United.
‘I’m quick, I have a little skill – I have to refine it a little bit but I should be good enough.’
